How To Discover Your Life Purpose.
The greatest discovery in life is self-discovery. When you discover yourself, everything around you will change, things will work in your favor because you have discovered yourself.
Your confidence will increase, some relationships will end, new relationships will begin, you will be able to create time for people and things that matter to you.
Some people were lucky to identify their passion at a very young age, and they got the needed support from family, siblings, and friends, but some were not that lucky.
Their family sees their passion as a distraction to their education, and they were prevented from improving on their talents by the time they become an adult, they already forgot about the treasure that lies within them.
They lost their passion due to circumstances that are out of control for them. So they end up living their life based on what’s available and not what they truly deserve.
Everybody Has Talents
Every Individual is born with talents that’s capable of helping him live the life of his dreams. It’s obvious that Mr. A’s talent is likely to be different from Mr. B which might be different from Mr. C.
But the few guys who were able to discover themselves were able to maximize their talent to the fullest, and convert it into a high paying career so they don’t have to struggle through life.
These include the musicians, comedians, footballers, preachers and some other talents people convert into careers.
When you look at these guys, you see that they make a lot of money. Apart from making money, they enjoy themselves to the fullest because their job is fun, and that makes them successful.
These guys were able to discover themself, you also need to discover the hidden treasure that lies within you.
Convert it into a high paying career so that you don’t end up working in an organization you don’t like just because of the pay.
People Copy Others In Life
They engage themself with activities that do not align with their destiny.
Your friend works with an insurance company, you also want to work with an insurance company, when it’s obvious that if a man that’s destined to become a furniture maker forces himself into the banking industry, he will cause disaster.
He is likely not to enjoy his job because he is doing it to earn a living and not to fulfill his destiny.
We all have different purposes in life, some people are born to become a bricklayer, some carpenters, plumbers and so on. When all of these people work together, they will erect a building.
That’s how things work, and that’s the only way we can make the world united.
People position themself where they don’t belong and end up delivering poor services, making it hard for others to get good value for their money.
Meanwhile, your instinct never stops telling you that you are doing the wrong thing.
But because you don’t know the next move that will bring you closer to your destiny, you choose to accept it as your faith and continue to struggle through life.
That shouldn’t be you.
Let me tell you about this young man I met. During our conversation, I discovered that he knows a lot about sports, especially football.
This guy is in his early 30’s and he has concrete facts about sports activities that happened many decades before he was born. He is indeed a huge fan of sports.
This guy told me the history of football that I never had before.
He said… Records trace the history of soccer back more than 2,000 years ago to ancient China, Greece, Rome and part of Central America also claim to have started the sport.
But it was England that transformed the game of soccer to what many people around the world call “football,” into the game we all know today.
I love facts, so I did research about what he told me and found out he was right. I’ve never met anyone that has many facts about sports like this guy.
I love his talent, and his presentation skills were on point, so I asked him where he works, thinking maybe he is a correspondent with an international sport agency.
But surprisingly, this guy told me he has no job, he was even trying to persuade me to get him a job in any establishment that he wouldn’t mind, he will do it.
And I was like… What?
So you have accumulated this much information just for fun, or maybe for argument purposes.
Wow! What a life.
He has a treasure already, which is worth more than any job, and he was busy looking for what he didn’t need.
He is a born sports analyst, because he was doing it with great passion.
When you are passionate about something, you will be eager to learn about it, memorize every aspect of it, and never forget a point.
That was exactly what this guy displayed, he loves sports.
A person like that needs to find a way to monetize his passion and convert it into a high paying career.
Sport is one thing that makes him happy and he is passionate about it.
This guy added value to me and I won’t hesitate to pay him to get more information if I happen to be a football lover.
That’s exactly how people make money, by adding value to others.
It could be in any form, in as much as people find value in what you have, they will be willing to pay you. It all depends on your negotiation skills and branding that will determine how much you charge.
Many people have treasures within them, that’s your talent. In fact, nobody is born without a talent.
That is your treasure, improve on it and monetize it.
Use this article as your guide, follow the principles described and act upon them religiously. It won’t be long before you transform your entire life.
My Self Discovery Journey
In the year 2006, I needed to start taking responsibility for my financial needs.
My business idea was to create a website where advertising agencies, casting directors and companies can book models online.
The major tool needed was a content management website.
I talked to an IT company to help develop my website but the charges were higher than my entire savings. So I needed an alternative.
Then I thought, what if I learn to develop websites, so I can develop my website by myself.
I talked to my cousin who just completed the website design training and he agreed to teach me, so I became his protege.
He taught me the basics of website design before he left for university.
I completed my website design training through self taught and proceeded to an IT Institute to learn website development that will enable me to create a content management portal where models can upload their profile.
The entire learning process took over a year. By then, I already lost interest in creating an online modeling website, thinking it might become a platform that showcases nudity, but now I know better.
So, I decided to become a website developer to help me earn a living.
12 years later, I needed to find my life purpose so I could fulfill my destiny. I started digging deep inside of me to find out where my passion lies. Then I had to take note of my talents and hobbies.
I realize that my genuine passion is building businesses while my life purpose is helping people get better.
Being a website developer has given me the opportunity to learn about many diverse businesses because it’s important for me to understand your business and it’s industry, learn about your products’ features and benefits, figure out your target audience, and identify your competitors.
This will help me create content, and develop a sales oriented website that will attract and convert online users into customers.
Since my life purpose is to help people get better, there couldn’t have been a better way to express myself.
I compiled my experience into educational content that is detailed, explanatory and applicable.
Capable of helping people transform themselves from where they are to where they want to be.
Identify Your Passion
In this chapter, I will be sharing my self-discovery journey with you and I hope you find yourself in my story.
My talent and passion started reflecting during my elementary school days.
Your talents are your natural skills, the ability God gave you to do things. While your passions are strong and barely controllable emotions for something.
Growing up as a kid, there are few things I have tried in terms of experimenting ideas, and they are things I love to do. One of them is engineering.
I love to study the machine to understand how it works, then create an idea on how to invent new machines.
While I was in primary school, I collaborated with a friend to invent a boat using a sardine can, rotor, and some batteries.
Although it wasn’t too perfect, it worked, and I was happy to have attempted something.
That is one of many inventions, I attempted growing up as a kid.
I like to think of ideas and find ways to implement them. I am used to asking myself questions like…
How does this thing work or how can I make it work better?
As a child, I realized that I’m not a person that follows the trend at all times, I’m more comfortable doing things my way and this makes me stand out.
I don’t do things because others do it, I do things that can improve an aspect of my life that others will benefit from.
You can tell me to do things a certain way, and I will ask you why? If I don’t understand your reasons enough, I will only tell you okay. The next time I need to do it, I will do it my way.
But when you help me understand the reasons why I should do things your way, and also its benefits to me and people around me, then I will adopt your concept and also promote it, tell people about the new concept.
It’s important you make me understand why I should do something and the best way to achieve success with it.
Despite the fact that I had the opportunity to discover myself at a young age, I never had the opportunity to express myself, just like many of us. My passion seems as a treat to my education.
During my secondary school days
I attended a public school and the school system was that senior students manipulated the junior students. They do crazy things to punish the junior students.
At times, they draw a car on the board and write Bus Stop in front of it, then tell a junior student to push the car to the bus stop, which is impossible.
Or give an equivalent of $1 and tell a junior student to buy snacks worth $10. Meanwhile the money they gave can’t buy the entire snack, yet they insist. Having an impression that he will add up his pocket money.
So they do a lot of crazy things to manipulate the junior students.
The system was like that then, and a lot of students promise to do the same when they get to senior class but the impression fissile out with time.
We had the responsibility to take care of the junior students so they don’t make noise during free time.
Whenever its my turn for such responsibility, I usually go with chalk and a duster. My best subject is mathematics, so I start teaching them mathematics.
This made them love me so much and when I tell them not to disturb the school with noise, they all keep calm and get busy with their books.
I am a born teacher, then I went for training to improve my teaching skills and how to monetize my skills.
While in secondary school, I also discovered myself as being gifted in helping people find solutions to their problems. When I talk to people and they take action, their lives begin to change.
I talk to people based on my beliefs. My belief is strong, positive and pure, so when you implement my solutions, you will get positive results.
At this point, you should have a clear understanding about your talents and passion, your talents are your gift while your passion are things you love to do.

My Zodiac sign is Capricorn and some of my career options include teaching, engineering and I could also be a lawyer but growing up as a child, what I see lawyers do is, they go to court and defend cases.
So I said to myself, what if I’m in court to speak against some armed robbers and the following day they come after me?
I will be scared and have to be running around, I won’t be free. That was the major reason why I chose not to become a lawyer. But things have changed now, some lawyers hardly go to defend cases, they focus on business law and property law.
Growing up as a child, I used to attempt to fix our electronics when it had some fault. Most times, I get beaten for doing that but I still go back and do the same thing because that’s where my passion lies.
So I could have been an engineer, a lawyer or a teacher.
I never thought of becoming an employee. At my early stage I started creating ways to make money for myself.
I love creativity, I love to create things that will add value to people around me. While in secondary school, I was making hand made greeting cards and I sold them to my friends.
I made good income from the hand made greeting cards because they’re customized and my school mates love to present it to themselves as a gift during birthday, valentine, Christmas, new year or during any special occasion.
Luckily for me, my mom has a book shop so I don’t pay for most of the items I use. I just picked from her shop and I’m good to go.
The reason why I settled for teaching is that, if I fix myself in any of these other career options, I know I will excel but people need information, the world needs information.
The information a man consume determines the quality of his life.
Having genuine information about business, finance and marriage helps you make the best decisions.
The reason why my country “Nigeria” is referred to as being underdeveloped is because the people are not rightly informed, even the politicians (with due respect) they still need to learn.
Politicians go into power with little or zero knowledge about how to build a nation that its citizens will be proud of.
They don’t go for training or attend courses related to financial management, human relation, economy building and so on. Meanwhile, a president of a country needs to be rightly informed in these areas to help him make decisions that will enhance the country’s growth.
Politicians go into power and do what they feel is right, which might not be right. (I’m saying this with due respect and no string attached to it, just for learning purposes only).
If politicians learn and understand how to govern, I’m sure their performance would have been excellent. Nigeria would have gone far ahead of the way it is at present because the country is blessed with natural and human resources.
Even the citizens, except for the elite which are few percent. Most Nigerians know little to nothing about themselves, their rights, their country, or things that matter. So lack of information is making people suffer
That’s why I choose to settle for teaching.
Since people frequently say that my teaching is detailed, explanatory and easy to understand.
So I decided to use that as part of my contribution to nation building, by providing applicable information that can help people get better in their personal lives and in business.
Follow Your Passion
Discovering yourself helps you identify your purpose in life, so you can position yourself where your value is needed and will be appreciated.
It’s like judging a fish based on its inability to climb a tree, then conclude that the fish is incompetent.
Meanwhile, a fish’s strength is not about climbing the tree, his strength is in the sea, where it can showcase its potentials to the fullest.
That’s how a lot of people treat themselves, position themselves where they don’t belong, making people think that they are incompetent.
Some few years ago…
I met this guy “name withheld” Let’s call him John.
I and John met at a financial freedom seminar in Lagos Nigeria, we sat close to each other and became friends. John works as a manager with a furniture making company, he is well paid with an official car and attractive allowance.
John has the dream job of many job seekers, and he is happy being able to provide for his family needs. But he is not fulfilled. He always feels something is missing, John has a strong passion for cooking, always looking for opportunities to be in the kitchen.
A year later John decided to follow his passion, he combined his experience as a manager with his love for cooking and established his own restaurant which he started from his kitchen, while dispatch riders help him deliver his food to customers.
Within the first month, John didn’t quit his job with the furniture company.
Instead, he operates his restaurant on Saturdays, delivering food to some few companies that work on Saturdays. During this time, he was able to gain a good number of customers, people liked his food and started recommending his food to their friends.
When you love what you do, you will be eager to improve your skills and you will be able to deliver better services.
John knew that he could win more customers and make more money if he operates during the week as well. That was when he resigned from the furniture company and focused on his restaurant business.
Within the first 3 month his income was lower than his earnings at the furniture company, but by the end of the 6th month his income grew higher than his earnings at the furniture company and it keeps growing since then.
The only way to become fulfilled and live a healthy life is to be passionate about what you do.
Helping people become a better version of themself is my purpose in life, and I am able to achieve that through teaching. It gives me joy seeing people get better after implementing my solutions. That’s where I find fulfillment.
Where does your fulfillment lie? What gives you joy, what are the activities that make you forget about your worries and fill your heart with genuine happiness?
That’s exactly what you should be doing with your life, that’s where you will find fulfillment.
Experiment With Your Passion
By now, you should have a clear understanding of what your passion is.
You are expected to spend quality time developing your passion.
Since I discovered my passion is helping people get better and I try to achieve that through my talent which is teaching, I often experiment with my passion by finding out what the next person’s problem is, then I provide tips that could help solve such problems.
In most cases, when people take action their life begins to change.
I was talking to a lady some time, she trained kids on how to dance salsa and Berlin. She was using a place that was not too conducive for her and does not know how to expand her business. I know her area, so I told her about a hotel close to her house.
I’ve been to the hotel and I know they have a gym. I encourage her to talk to the management of the gym using a particular formula.
She said she does not have money to pay for a place like that.
It’s a 3-star hotel. I told her that she might not even need to pay, go and talk to them using this strategy, this lady went and she got the place.
She actually paid, but she was paying what she could afford, the amount was highly discounted for her and she never thought she could achieve that, but because I gave her the concept and encouraged her to go, she went and it worked for her.
I was talking to another lady that works with a company that installs telecommunication mass, the team of the company hardly stay in Lagos, they travel all over Nigeria to work.
Such a company usually goes to bid for contracts and when they win, the team will be on-site which could be in any part of Nigeria. This lady, the receptionist, is the only person at the office and clients don’t come.
When she gets to work, she opens the office and after a while she gets bored being the only person, the office is in a complex so she walks around the complex trying to help people solve problems.
I met her where she was helping another person in the complex.
During our conversation, I asked if she works with the woman, she said No.
Is she your mom? No.
Your aunt? No.
Do you live together?
Same answer, No.
So what tha hell are you doing here?
She said her office is upstairs so she explained the situation telling me that the team of the company are hardly around and clients don’t come, she just sits there feeling bored so she walks around the complex trying to help people in her own way. I said wow! You are such a nice lady.
But why don’t you try to make extra money while doing this?
I tried to educate her on things she could do, and she said she is a trained dressmaker but would love to work as an apprentice for a little while before setting up her own brand, so she can gain more experience and learn new things.
That was a wise decision she made for herself. I encouraged her to start making moves towards that direction, I also encouraged her to make some cloth for herself and wear more of her own production instead of buying ready-made dresses.
If she makes them well, people will appreciate them and some people will want her to make dresses for them leading to her first set of clients.
There are two dressmakers in the same complex, so I encouraged her to join one of them, anyone she feels comfortable with.
The dressmaker she approached was happy to have her on board because she was short of staff and was about getting an apprentice, so she was highly welcomed and started working immediately.
All of these happened in less than one month.
Now, she has her job with the mass installation company, she has a side hustle as an apprentice with the dressmaker and she even made some clothes for herself so people start giving her clothes to sew for them.
This lady never stopped thanking me because I helped her triple her income in less that one month.
I can go on with testimonies of people that I have talked to and their lives changed.
So I know vividly that what I should be doing is teaching people how they can become a better version of themselves.
Your Passion Will Make Ways For You
I understand that some people might have a hobby or talents that seem impossible to convert into a career, no matter how funny your hobby sounds, you can convert it into a high paying career.
You only need to learn how to make things work in your favor, for the fact that your hubby sounds funny is an advantage for you.
People with such hobby will not think of making it a career but because you make it a career, you are likely to be the first service provider within that industry and if you are able to market yourself very well, you will make a lot of money.
Before others realize what is happening, you are made already.
I was talking to a client who signed up for my coaching program, I realize that this man does not like his job, he is not doing well, his boss does not like him, and his life sucks, he is not happy with his present situation and wants a way out, so that he can do something that will make him happy.
In order for me to assist him further, I asked what his hobbies were and he said he has no hobbies. I know that’s impossible, there is no one without hobbies.
So I tried to help him identify his hobbies by asking him things he loves to do for fun, and he said sleeping.
He sleeps a lot, especially at work. That was why his boss was mad at him.
This man was not supposed to be in a paid job, He is supposed to find ways to make money from his passion, which is sleeping.
He was surprised when I told him he could make money from sleeping.
And he asked, how on earth can one possibly make money from sleeping?
I try to make him understand that he can make money from sleeping and I guide him towards achieving that.
People make money by helping others solve problems, the woman selling food is helping people solve the problem of hunger, the man who makes shoes is helping people solve a problem, so people don’t walk on their barefoot and these people are getting paid for their effort.
You know how to sleep, and there are lots of people out there who don’t sleep. That means, you know something they don’t know, they will be willing to pay you if you can provide the solutions that help you sleep.
It’s much easier to build a business around just anything these days. Be ready to render your service to the people and have a price tag.
Learn about marketing and sales to help you promote your business and also learn about business management to help structure your business for growth and you are on your way to build a company for yourself.
As much as people find value in what you offer, they will be willing to pay you.
I told him to take note of the stages before he falls asleep, especially at the point when he finally sleeps off.
How he positions himself, his breathing level and so on. If there are foods that make people sleep, learn about them.
Once you are able to note all these stages, find a way to market yourself to people who can’t sleep.
Firstly, look for someone who is finding it difficult to sleep, provide your solutions to him, if it helps him sleep then you are in business, start selling it to people who can’t sleep.
Many rich men don’t sleep, and the major reason is that they have many businesses, they have lots of people and activities they attend to.
Even when they want to sleep, that’s when their phone will ring, they need to talk to someone, then think of a business transaction they need to conclude the next day, so many rich men find it hard to sleep.
Your job is to provide them with tips that can help them sleep.
You could use a concept like… Sir the reason why you don’t sleep is that you worry yourself a lot, you need to create time to sleep and within this time you need to switch off your phones, you need to drink chilled water to keep you relaxed before going to bed.
Provide all these tips to them and if it helps them sleep, you are in business already.
As I write this blog post, this man now has a blog where he talks about sleeping and he is making tangible income from a hobby that seems almost impossible to convert into a career.
There’s nothing in the world that is impossible.
If the Wright brothers could think of creating an instrument that can fly over the sky to transport people from one location to another when something similar has never existed, and they were able to make it a reality.
It could have been impossible, but they did it. So I don’t believe in impossibilities, everything is possible.
People might not have found a solution to it yet, I agree with that.
But being impossible is impossible.
Discover yourself and find a way to make money from your passion so you don’t live your entire life doing things you don’t like.
Many people wake up every morning to a job they don’t like, looking at their faces you can tell they are miserable.
Receiving their pay check at the end of the month and realize it can’t even sustain their needs.
This is how many people live their entire life, engaging in activities that do not give them the opportunity to showcase their potential.
Only to reach the end of their life and realize they never truly lived, they wish they could turn back the time and do things differently.
That’s why you see people get angry at every little thing. In reality, they are not angry at you.
They are angry about an aspect of their own life which they are not comfortable with, and they don’t know how to make things get better.
You were only a victim that allowed them to express their anger.
Most people died at 25 when they gave up on their dreams but were not buried until they were 75 and died physically.
A research was conducted on 20 elderly men lying on the sickbed and they were all asked. If they could reflect on your life, what would their regrets be?
Almost all of them said the same thing.
They didn’t regret the things they did but the things they never attempted.
The chances they never took, the risks they were scared of, the opportunities they never grabbed.
They could have achieved all of these things only if they had tried. And that would have made them proud of themself, saying that they live a fulfilled life.
They wish they could turn back time and do things differently, but they don’t have such opportunities anymore.
A lot of people are on the sick bed, praying to have the opportunity you have now, which they might not have again.
What are the most important things that matter to you? The best time to go get it is now.
For you to discover yourself and be able to take advantage of your new discovery, it’s important you Identify your talents and passion.
List out things you love to do, in most cases, these are activities you don’t get paid for, but it gives you joy. Pick your most preferred and start building a career around it.
You also need to train yourself to become better at it and learn how to monetize it.
The Right Education For You
When I say education, I don’t necessarily mean a university degree, I mean the kind of education that is relevant in today’s business world. The education we acquire in school is far different from the things we implement at work.
The school system does not teach how to do business or make money, it only prepares you for the future by teaching basic field subjects, but these are not high-income skills. High-income skills are skills that help you understand how to make money, multiply money and invest money.
Real learning starts after the university degree but unfortunately, most adults stop learning after obtaining their university degree and this is a sure path to failure.
Since the education they have can not help them make money, they are likely to depend on people who acquire high-income skills.
Hopefully, they might employ them in their organization, teach them what they need to do, to enable them to earn some amount of money at the end of the month, based on their contribution to the growth of the company.
Successful people are not spirit and they are not angels
They are normal people just like everybody else but the big difference is that the successful knows what an ordinary man does not know, that’s what makes him successful.
You can be more successful than you ever imagined, when you keep investing in the kind of education that will add value to your business and help you grow your income.
A successful man might not have a university degree, yet he is highly educated with skills he can implement in his business and get results.
The successful do not care how far he needs to go and learn, it could be by signing up for an online course or at a learning center, it could also be from a master somewhere who is doing his kind of business, he is always eager to learn new things.
Readers Are Leaders
This leads me to the next point… And that is reading.
You need to read a lot, readers are leaders.
The more you read, the more you get exposed to new ideas. A sure way to get informed is by reading.
People are very secretive and won’t want to share ideas with you, they will hide what they know from you thinking you might steal their idea.
Even your close friends or relatives will hide what they know from you so they can remain the king and you keep going to them.
I was talking to my landlord in one of the houses I have lived in. My landlord is a farmer who has hectares of farmland.
I thought I could learn about farming from him so during our conversation I asked him a question.
My question was… sir, about how much will it cost to plant corn on 10 acres of land?
I was expecting a direct answer but my landlord diverted from the question and was talking about something else.
I waited for him to finish what he was talking about and I asked him the same question, hoping he forgot what the question was.
My landlord started again and diverted into something else without answering my question.
I asked him the same question 4 times and he didn’t provide any answer that could be of help to me. So I said to myself, this is not a mistake.
My landlord knows what he is doing, he is not willing to give an answer to my question.
Meanwhile, I don’t think I have asked too much, I just want to have an idea and I was expecting an approximate answer, but he didn’t tell me.
He was ready to chat with me for as long as I am willing to be with him, but not on a subject that could add value to me.
He was only chatting me up to entertain himself. That’s exactly how secretive people are.
The only way to get tangible information from a man like that is if he writes a book.
He will write in his book information he wouldn’t share publicly, and the reason is that his book is a premium product, he wants his buyers to get value for their money and appreciate his effort so that if he writes another book, people will buy.
Lesson: Be selective about who you go to for information.
Some people will open up, and be willing to assist you with the information that will help you grow while others will play smart without telling you what you need to become a better person.
One of my strengths is that I surround myself with good people who are willing to help me grow, and I also learn on my own.
If I need to learn about a subject, I usually sign up for a minimum of 3 courses about that particular subject.
It could be an online course and it could be at a learning center, by the time I am through with the courses I would have gathered information from 3 different experts.
Then I can shovel the information, pick the best information that aligns with my personality and work with it.
Dream Big
Dream big and never let small minds convince you that your dreams are out of reach, it might be out of reach for them but not you, that’s why it’s your dream not theirs.
It’s your dream, you are the only person capable of making it a reality, no one will chase it for you, no one will support you, especially at the early stage. Your environment will discourage you, your friends will tell you a thousand reasons why you can’t make it happen.
Only you can make it a reality.
How much were you paid to give up on your dreams? How much does your dream truly worth and when are you going to stop forcing yourself to fit into that category you don’t belong and start focusing on your dreams?
So many dreams are shot dead when people focus on their past mistakes, weakness, disabilities, discouragement or even divorce, don’t let any of that steal your dreams.
Aim at it, get up and get going towards the direction that can help you achieve your dreams.
We all have the opportunity to decide how far we go in life, and that’s because nature has a way of helping us attract our wishes and desires according to our thinking ability.

The second servant said, he wants all the camels that will remain after the first servant has taken his 10 male and 10 female camels, so that he can continue with his master’s legacy, protect his establishment, and prevent it from being perished.
And the master gave it to them according to their request.
When you dream big, big things begin to happen. But this comes with relentless efforts and sacrifices.
